Jon + Rina ♥ Beautiful Wedding at Kapowsin Airfield
Filed in Outdoors, Video, Weddings, August 11, 2008, 4:42 pm by BillCawleyJon is a pilot for FedEx and has a passion/hobby (OK maybe it’s a full blown obsession) with cool old airplanes! I get the feeling that Rina shares his glee. :) The wedding was behind their house which just happens to back up to their very own runway and hangar (Kapowsin Field in Graham, WA). They moved the airplanes out of the hangar for the reception. How cool is that? Some of their friends parachuted in to watch the ceremony and join the celebration.

I’d like to thank my good friend Trevor Meeks, (Napa Ca wedding photographer) for referring Jon and Rina to me. He’s a long time friend of Jon’s and if he wasn’t already booked he would have flown up and taken their pictures (lucky for me he was!)
Here’s the slideshow:

Jason + Wendi ♥ Fun Destination Wedding
Filed in Destination, Weddings, August 4, 2008, 12:29 pm by BillCawleyFrom the Salon HQ in Hunington Beach to the ceremony at the Orange County Crescent Bay Park with 180° vistas overlooking Lauguna Beach to the reception at the Costa Mesa Hilton — Jason and Wendi’s wedding was a beautiful event, and not just because of the amazing locations! Everybody had a great time and these two enjoyed the love of their family and friends and the great locations to the fullest.
I was super excited that Jason (my cousin on my mom’s side) and his awesome bride Wendi wanted to fly me down for the wedding - and I’m really glad I went!
We had tons of fun - check out the photos and stay tuned for more.

Mason County Rodeo 2008
Filed in Fun stuff, GOYA, Outdoors, Sports, August 1, 2008, 10:08 am by BillCawleyLast year I attended the Mason County Rodeo somewhat by accident. And I had a blast - the rodeo is just plain fun! I struck a deal with the rodeo organizers to use my images in their marketing and to take some portraits of the 2008 royalty (Queen and Princesses). Again, fun.
This year’s rodeo was last weekend, my schedule only allowed me to make it on Sunday. Here are few of my favorites - the whole gallery is here:

Trisha + Benjie ♥ The Wedding
Filed in Weddings, July 26, 2008, 8:23 am by BillCawleyTrisha and Benjie had a beautiful wedding at the Lake Quinalt Lodge. Besides all the beautiful dresses, tuxes and amazing details, these two families had so much fun and love to share. The ceremony, performed by their tribal elders, really showed both their own love for each other and the love and strength passed from the community to them.

Thanks so much for including me - it was a fun and amazing day!!

Brittany + Ryan ♥ The Wedding
Filed in Outdoors, Weddings, July 18, 2008, 11:44 am by BillCawleyA warm day in the mountains — close knit family and friends — Brittany and Ryan’s wedding was beautiful — so much joy and love.
The Mountain Home Lodge in Leavenworth is one of my all time favorite places - the setting, hospitality and food are all top notch (I guess that’s why they get all those rave magazine reviews!)
The girls started at the Eden salon and the boys started at the miniature golf course.

Thank you both for including me in your day — I really enjoyed it!

Joe + Angie ♥ the wedding
Filed in Weddings, July 8, 2008, 9:17 am by BillCawleyJoe and Angie planned a perfect day - starting at the Catholic Church right next to the Seattle Center (Space Needle, EMP, etc.) - the ceremony was short, simple and beautiful -
Then we went up Queen Anne Hill to Highland Park for some family portraits. The park has a great view of the Seattle skyline - since everyone was from out of town, having the Seattle skyline as a backdrop is pretty dang cool.
The reception site, The Court in the Square, is a stunning 5 story glass enclosed courtyard between 2 historic buildings in Pioneer Square. Joe and Angie had a great party with family and friends from all over the country!
Thanks for including me.
I really wish you two weren’t moving away!

Lots more to blog soon…

Bill + Mary ♥ the wedding
Filed in Weddings, June 5, 2008, 11:46 am by BillCawleyBill and Mary have been a couple all through High School, and all the way through college and now they’re HITCHED!!
You’d be hard pressed to find two people more relaxed together and in love. A wonderful thing.
Their wedding was tons of fun, I’ve never been to the Hidden Creek Community Church in West Olympia before - it’s a surprisingly beautiful sanctuary for a small community church. We did a fair amount of driving around, from the salon to the hotel, to the church and then to the fairgrounds for an amazing party. The food was provided by the Falls Terrace Restaurant in Tumwater - Both the groom’s mom Terri and Mary (the bride) work at the restaurant, so the whole staff was there - including the head chef to make sure everything was perfect! The MC/DJ was from Mr Lobo in Olympia, I wish I could remember the DJ’s name, I’ve worked with him a couple times and he’s a great guy!
Now what you’ve been waiting for - the pictures -

I love this reflection of me: ![]()

The lighting in the church sanctuary is beautiful:

I think this portrait of Mary is especially striking since it’s almost impossible to catch her without a big smile on her face:

The whole wedding party - a fun group!

Mary’s grandfather Ted walked her down the isle. He’s a wonderful man - I really enjoyed talking to him. ![]()

‘We did it!!’

These champagne glasses cracked me up - they’re from their Tumwater High School Prom, year 2000 - since when do Prom’s have Champagne???? ![]()

And off they went!
