Playing Catchup...

Some days it seems there is more that I'm not getting done than I am getting done... I haven't been blogging much at all the last month or so because I've been super busy! But I'm going to be posting a lot over the next few days since there are tons of cool jobs I've got that no one has seen... ;-)

And... One cool thing that we've ben working on lately is the new windows in the house. Here are a couple shots... Exciting stuff (for me at least!).

Happy New Year!!

I'm super excited about the new year! I spend New years eve with my sister Tara, my girlfriend Erin and her daughter Kim. I've got a bunch of things up my sleeve for the new year and I'll be sharing them here so stay tuned! I turned comments on for the whole blog so feel free to leave me a note on this topic or any other, blogging in a vacuum isn't fun... ;-)

One of my 'resolutions' is to blog every day, every week day anyway. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I know that I have a lot of projects, thoughts and happenings that I think of sharing here and then don't find the time, so from now on I'm gonna MAKE the time... ;-) I won't send out email notices daily, more like weekly. If you'd like to be on my email list just send me a note and I'll add ya! I'll have some discounts and print specials that will be 'email only'...

Here are a couple shots of Tara from New Years Eve:

Until tomorrow.... ;-)

Resurrecting the MR2

My car came back to life today after about 3 months in the garage.

I spend most of the day in the garage working on my 93 MR2 Turbo. New belts, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, distributor O-ring, cap, rotor and oil. It's ready to go!

I snapped a few photos while I worked:

A Tree fell on my Garage

Details and pictures

We had a big rain storm with lots of wind on Wednesday night. I recall getting the mail and thinking it was the hardest I'd ever seen the wind blow here. Back inside, Tara and I were standing in the hall by the kitchen when we heard the crash and saw branch chunks whizzing by the window. Luckily no apparent damage was done to my already leaky garage roof and no windows were broken. Very lucky indeed.

I went up on the roof this morning with the chainsaw and cleared it off. Here are the pics:

After getting it all off the roof, it makes a big pile in the driveway. There is another smaller one behind the garage. It's raining now, so I'll wait to clean it up...
