Mike and BeckyNo reservation, no notice, just do it and leave.
Mike described their plan as a 'Gorilla Wedding', show up, have a ceremony,
leave. He called me a couple weeks ago and asked if I could photograph their
wedding. And then called a couple days ago to say they had decided on the dock
in front of Anthony's Restaurant in downtown Olympia (near the farmer's market)
at 7pm. So last night I went down a bit early and scoped it out. I decided the
best place to catch them arriving was from the lookout tower, so I went to the
top and waited. They showed up right on time, a total of 7 of them, including
the minister and his wife and baby. The whole thing took 20 minutes, enough
time for me to take about 130 pictures with 2 cameras, no time to change
lenses.... When it was over they got a standing ovation from the folks eating
dinner on the deck of Anthony's.... Very cool, I'm so glad Mike called me, I
loved it.
