Senior: Hilary

My fall schedule for senior portraits is winding down, but it's been fun! Here are a few images of Hilary, a Rainier High School class of 2008 senior, she brought her mom and little brother with her and we all had a blast. :-)

It was a beautiful fall day and we had a great sunset on the beach!

Thanks for looking!

Senior: Joel

Joel's a senior at the Shelton High School and he and his family live on a beautiful farm near the Skokomish River. He got permission from a landowner with property on the river banks to drive his Jeep down to the river for part of the session. Tons of fun and a cool place to shoot too!

Senior Portrait: Katrina

Another beautiful girl graces my blog, check out the slideshow here and enjoy the images below... :-)

Dang high end lenses... I didn't get nearly as much sun flare on this next shot as I wanted (due to excellent optical flare control), but it's still cool. :)

Tricks with Light.... I cranked my big strobe all the way up to overpower the sun for the next couple images...

And back to natural light... same location, lots of options.

Senior: Brittany

I've been busy with Senior Portraits these past few days with more on the way!

Brittany and her mom were planning to bring their horse, but they changed their minds... I think we got some great images without it... The sunset was amazing! Check a few of my favorites below and watch the slideshow here: Brittany's slideshow

More tomorrow... ;-)

Kristin

A fun Senior and her horse! We had a good time at two locations, both down by Tenino where her horse lives and at Tumwater Falls Park.

The slideshow is here.

Having portable lighting makes all the difference on an overcast fall day. Lighting a horse requires something a little more powerful than my normal portrait flash setup... I roped her dad into making sure the lightstand didn't blow over!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day:

She also had her boyfriend and a couple of cute dogs to stand in with her!

I know I've been bad about blogging and newsletters and such lately, I've been busy! I'll catch back up... ;-)

Bailey turns 3

This was a super fun family portrait session with Bailey, her parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles. Even with everyone around there's no question who the star of the show is... ;-)

The slideshow is here :-)

Eric, Tara and family

My good friends Eric and Tara had some family in town last week and asked if I could come out and take some portraits. They have a beautiful house on 5 acres just outside of town. Their niece Leah is 9 and she is SO pretty and loved the camera.... The dogs are darn cute too, who wouldn't love a Boston Terrier named Guinness?

We did a combination of posed and candid portraits, and of course I like the candid ones the best... ;-)

The slideshow it here and the gallery is here .

No surprise, most of my favorites have Leah and/or the dogs in them.... But I promise I got good shots of everybody, just watch the slideshow to see... ;-)

Senior Portrait: Sonja

What a pretty smile :-) I met Sonja at a volleyball tournament earlier this year and she asked me about senior portraits and I'm glad she did!

Sonja and her dad were both a lot of fun to work with. He really knows what to say to make her smile and laugh... ;-) It rained on us a little, but I love shooting in the rain and they didn't seem to mind either!

You can see the slideshow here: Slideshow

She's quite the athlete, I couldn't believe she got up on this high log over the water....

But the cool shots with the capitol in the background were worth it! I had to get out in the water to get the shot, but that's OK.. ;-)

Wearing her dad's ball cap, this one is his favorite:

Senior Portraits - Lynsey

These were a lot of fun to shoot. Lynsey lives in Grays Harbor County and she's going to be promoting my senior portrait services over that way. I'm excited to have such a beautiful outgoing spokesperson and I'm looking forward to doing more work closer to the ocean. :-)

The slideshow is here and the gallery is here.

Here are some of my favorites from the shoot:

Until next time... ;-)

Winter Portrait Special!

Tis the season for winter specials! My primary print lab has a winter sale every year this time of year and I'm inspired to follow suit... ;-)

So here it is:

$50 off!

Yup, that's it. Are you excited? I am!

The details:

Fun family portrait sessions booked between now and March 15th.

This can be for the kids, mom and baby(ies) or the whole family, totally up to you!

The normal rate is $250 with a $100 print credit, the sale is $50 off, so $200 that includes a $100 print credit. I'll create an online slideshow and host the pictures on my secure website for the family to enjoy for one year. Click here to see a sample family slideshow.

Obviously since there is only one of me, space is limited, call or email soon if you'd like to take advantage of this... ;-)

Adeline Irene - 4 days old

Yesterday I went to Seattle to hang out with my cousins and meet the newest member of their family, Addy.

After the picture taking Pat and I went to Geogetown and picked up some lunch for everyone, Spicy Curry, Sushi and a growler of beer from the Georgetown Brewery , mmmmm good!

I'll add a gallery link to this post later today, but I just had to get a few posted for them to see. :-)
